PhD Supervision is difficult.\u00a0 Being supervised as a PhD candidate is difficult.\u00a0 When is too much supervision a bad thing, when is too little supervision acceptable?<\/p>\n

In this episode of Kaf\u00e9 Student<\/em>, Sarah Hean Professor of Social Work at the University of Stavanger and PHD supervisor talks to Associate Professor Heidi Eriksen, who has recently completed her PhD on the Supervision process in students working on social work practice placements.\u00a0 We ask ourselves what, as PhD supervisors and PhD candidates, can learn from these supervisions in these other contexts. We explore in particular what Heidi calls \u201ccritical symmetry\u201d in supervision relationships.\u00a0<\/p>\n
